Compost & Garden Coaching using Zoom

Get your garden sorted for spring — even during lockdown

1:1 Coaching: Foodscaping and Compost Optimisation

Sometimes in the world of gardening and composting there is just too much information to sift through, and so many decisions to make. Would it be much simpler to get expert advice on what you could do with your space? This is when the Blue Borage kitchen garden coaching services are of most use.

Over the last few years this has evolved from a one-off meeting into a four week coaching package with a range of optional products and services. I’m committed to helping you not only decide what you want, but to actually make sure it happens as well.

Here’s how the service is currently set up — you can choose the degree of help you think you’ll need, and we can work together in a way that makes best use of our time. Every garden is unique and so is every gardener. The four week option in particular is bespoke, made up of zoom calls, emails, or even personalised shopping assistance at a garden centre.

Reviews from previous garden coaching students:

I had been interested in gardening for a few years now but had been more of a “reading/listening to podcasts gardener” not really knowing where to start. I came across Katrina & signed up for her 3 month coaching & am pleased to say that has all changed. We got stuck straight in making compost, sowing seeds, introducing worms etc. I would definitely recommend Katrina for her great knowledge, easy manner & totally hands-on approach. She gives you the information you need but also explains the why behind it & encourages you to think through your actions also. I’m now well on my way to having my own little piece of garden paradise.

I contacted Blue Borage because I wanted to have really great soil for my veggie gardening. Katrina and I spent an afternoon preparing a hot compost pile together. This was an incredibly practical session for me and we chatted heaps about gardening as we worked. In addition, Katrina brought a container which will function as an in-ground worm farm which is working a treat. I plan to replicate the composting and worm farms all round my section to ensure that my soil is of high quality for the veggies, we will grow and eat.

How to get started

If you’d like to chat about the options, please call me (Katrina) on 022–410–4988. I prefer to make sure our values are aligned before we begin— I’m very much the organic gardener and won’t be recommending any chemicals to boost growth or kill pests. This slow approach doesn’t suit everyone, and that’s just fine.

If you know exactly which option you want, then you can book on the coaching platform here for a single session or here for a four week package. There’s an intake form where you send me a description of your gardening goals before I send you a booking page and link for payment.
